Creighton Abadie is a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge who has been aggressively representing businesses and individuals in state and federal courts in Louisiana for 24 years. His goal is to provide you with the best personal service while working aggressively to find a positive solution to your legal problem. Over the years, Creighton has litigated hundreds of cases to resolution and tried many cases in Louisiana state courts. His litigation practice has included defense and prosecution of hundreds of personal injury / automobile accident matters, defense of workers' compensation matters, construction and Private Works Act litigation, New Home Warranty Act litigation, securities litigation, employment and ADA matters, and other contractual and business disputes. He has worked with material supplier clients and subcontractors in the construction industry preserving and enforcing Private Works Act claims, collecting delinquent funds, and handling arbitrations or construction disputes. He has worked with credit unions collecting delinquent accounts and is versed in negotiating commercial contracts and leases, formation of business entities, and preparation of employment agreements and operating agreements. Creighton has drafted many wills and powers of attorney, handled many successions, guided individuals with DWI, drug, and other criminal charges through the criminal court system, and guided individuals with domestic issues, going through divorces, or that have custody issues through the Family Court system.

For many years, Creighton was general counsel for the Capital Area Transit System (CATS), a public agency and Baton Rouge's regional transit provider. As general counsel, he handled all of CATS' legal matters, including providing advice regarding ongoing operations, representation of the board, fleet liability and workers compensation defense, employment and ADA litigation, the 2012 tax election, defense of tax election litigation, procurements and public bid law issues, contract negotiation, collective bargaining issues, arbitrations and other matters that arose during the course of a public transit agency's operations. He has also been appointed attorney chairman for over 150 medical review panels in Louisiana and was an Assistant District Attorney in Baton Rouge for 5 years.
